Monday, April 22

Join us for our second meeting of April to hear from the leader of SPARK Boston, the Mayor's initiative to involve young professionals in setting priorities, addressing City issues, and planning for Boston's future.
Please note, there is no meeting on April 15 due to the Boston Marathon - we'll meet on April 22 instead, at our new location in Cambridge.
Saturday, April 13 & Sunday, April 14
7:00 am - 12:00 pm
Kraft Family Blood Donation Center, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston
We are going to help Dana Farber and Brigham and Women's patients on the 3rd weekend of April! If you are healthy and generous, you can be a blood donor and help people who struggle in their fight against cancer. Please share with coworkers and friends! You can sign up to donate blood or platelets (learn more about donating at the Kraft Family Blood Donation Center website).
So, why donate blood?
  1. It saves lives, do you really need 9 other reasons?
  2. If one day you needed blood, you would not hesitate to take it. Why hesitate to give it?
  3. There is no synthetic substitute for blood
  4. It gives you a checkup at no costs
  5. Free cookies, juice, and more
  6. The satisfaction of helping others (and bragging about it)
  7. You may not be able to find the cure for cancer, but you can keep someone alive while waiting for cure
  8. It is your civic duty
  9. Donating blood burns up to 600 calories
  10. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you
  11. BONUS: the question is, why not give blood
