Service Grant - 2020
Thank you for being a dedicated and engaged member of Boston Rotaract! This Rotary year has been a successful time for us.
In these past six months (July-January), we have:
- Fundraised $2,300 for two Found in Translation alumnae to continue their education
- Volunteered more than 300 hours, passing the halfway mark of our 500-hour service goal
- Welcomed and inducted 10 new members into the club
- Added thousands into our treasury via membership dues, donations, and fundraising
- Represented Boston Rotaract at a number of district events
- Most recently, completed our $4,000 fundraising goal for the free eye refraction and eyeglasses project in partnership with the Sampaguita Grace Park Rotary Club in the Philippines
We have accomplished so much in such a short amount of time and none of this good work would be possible without you!
However, there is and will always be more work to be done. I want to take this time to express my gratitude and refocus on what it is our club emulates best: Service Above Self.
For the remainder of the year, we are offering all dues-paying members the opportunity to apply for a $50 service grant. If you have an idea for a service project, we want to support you in completing the service YOU want done in the community. (See below for the grant application.)
It has been an honor and privilege to serve as your president this year!
In service above self,
Mira
